There is a great wealth of spiritual exercises available. We, along with many others, have removed the medieval catholic theology and practice, so that what remains is deeply helpful. We use a selection of these at each of our Retreat Days. Andrew & Mandy also use these in the Soul Spa Retreats they lead for Vineyard Churches. Here are a few to get you going:
Bible Meditation. Going from head to heart, this method of Bible readings helps us to be rooted in the Bible and in the Father's incredible love for us. If you download the outline first, and then you can download the passages to work through. These are loosely based on the 19th Annotation of Ignatius, but I've removed the comments and questions so that you can hear directly from Jesus without anyone else's interpretation. I've also expanded the number of passages, so this will keep you going for a while! You will need to allow 30 minutes for each meditation.

Centring Meditations. These relaxation meditations help us to focus on God and welcome him. It's hard to do that if we're not relaxed. I suggest using them before a Bible Meditation or other spiritual exercise as they help us to tune out the world for a few minutes and tune in to the voice of Jesus and the heart of the Father. Allow the Holy Spirit to come and touch you at a deep level.
Outside Meditation: find a comfortable place to sit and close your eyes. Listen to the furthest sound you can hear - perhaps a plane or traffic. Once you've registered that sound, listen to the mid-distance, then gradually get closer - perhaps wind in the trees. Then move closer still and listen to your body - you might be able to hear your breathing or heartbeat, sensing what your body is feeling like today. After that, listen to God's voice as he speaks inside.
Worry release: close your hands in a fist, and hold all your worries and concerns. Turn your hands to face down and open them, metaphorically releasing all your worries to Jesus. Let them go. Then turn you hands palm up to receive the peace that only Jesus can give. What else might he choose to give you too?
